The Senior Product Manager - Technical role is a high-impact role with ownership of critical systems, foundational technology, and new features in the areas of claims, billing, and compliance. This role will be responsible for leading Medicaid and Medicare growth strategies for Amazon Pharmacy, and delivering products that enable Amazon Pharmacy to operate safely and compliantly for govt. insurance customers while enabling new growth opportunities. In this role, your goal will be to identify gaps and new opportunities, develop AI strategy, and drive execution requirements needed to support our partners, billing teams, and customers.

As a product owner, you will have end-to-end ownership of the customer experience, from defining the product vision through building and launching the product in partnership with front-end and back end technical teams. In this role, you will work with a team of technical and non-technical stakeholders ranging from engineers, technical program managers and designers to compliance teams, operations and BizDev teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of creative, high-quality product roadmaps based on product strategy and vision

  • Assume end-to-end responsibility for the strategic value, usability, and performance of our products

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, scope, and time to market

  • Work closely with frontend/backend engineering teams, design, and stakeholders in an agile environment to deliver products to market

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet business, financial, and technical goals

  • Manage product planning and development through day to day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including engineers, designers and business or subject matter representatives

  • Develop detailed, crisp user stories with acceptance criteria based on customer needs/experience and business requirements that can be used to create product specifications and architecture

  • Work with UX Research to design usability and research studies to inform product requirements and influence product design and experience

  • Define and analyzes metrics that measure and benchmark product success

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations/marketing team, customers, executives, and other team members

  • Play active role in optimization and process improvements between product, design, and engineering teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior pharmacy or healthcare experience

  • Passionate about data, and data driven solutions

  • Prior exposure to regulatory guidance or authorities such as NCPDP or CMS

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
