The Sr. Mgr , Data Science & Analytics (Supply Chain Operations) is responsible for leading a team of analysts to provide Nordstrom Supply Chain Operation s leadership team with robust analytics that help drive strategic business decisions , focused on insights around warehouse productivity, speed , safety and quality metrics . This role requires leading a team of analysts and working closely with multiple business, product and technology teams .

A day in the life…

  • Communicate Vision: Refine program vision and define strategy to deliver high impact analytical roadmaps that drive key business outcomes around warehouse productivity, speed, safety and quality. Balance long-term vision with short-term needs and translate high level goals into smaller, actionable deliverables that are communicated clearly to the team. Present informative, easy-to-share documentation of workstreams and plans with business stakeholders

  • Leadership: Lead and grow a talented team of data analysts to deliver actionable insights to the business . Hold the team accountable to timelines by improving accuracy of sizing estimates . Make informed tradeoff decisions between speed and precision of data .

  • Effectively Partner and collaborate : Build and nurture key collaborative relationships with Supply Chain, Product, and Technology teams to develop plans and roadmaps to unlock analytical insight s . Understand stakeholders’ business objectives and anticipate analytical needs when participating in the stakeholders’ business rhythms (such as Business & Portfolio Reviews). Partner with leaders on broader analytics teams across the organization for knowledge sharing and building on each other’s work .

  • Technical Knowledge: Work with analyst team to identify blockers early and help find solutions when problems arise , assisting with right tool selection, pipeline management, query reviews, wireframe /dashboard design reviews , and e nsur ing that analysis and data come to life in clear, meaningful, storytelling fashion to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise . Stay informed on current market trends for supply chain analytics and contribute to education for the broader team

    You own this if you have…

  • 8 + years of experience in data analytics , preferably in retail/e-commerce supply chain

  • 3+ years of experience leading/mentoring a team

  • 8 + years of strong working knowledge of SQL/ BigQuery and working with big data solutions ( e.g. Teradata, GCP)

  • Knowledge of graphics / visualization software ( e.g. Tableau)

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $162,000 - $297,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
