Starbucks is seeking a highly skilled and motivated business systems analyst senior to support the GSC accounting team. The GSC accounting team has overall responsibility for North America retail & distribution inventory, internal and external manufacturing and SCTC accounting teams. As a member of the GSC accounting team, you will play an integral role by supporting administrative system support and leading in various systems and operations implementation projects. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our retail inventory cycle counts while at the same time serving as the GSC accounting systems subject matter expert providing business partners with clear and consistent consultation for ad hoc and planned research and projects.

As a business system analyst senior, you will provide expertise and lead in the following areas:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in inventory, manufacturing and SCTC subledger systems.

  • Identifies key risks and opportunities and works cross functionally to provide solutions that drive process improvements and strengthen the systems environment.

  • Map transactions flows and work collaboratively with accountants to identify posting errors or potential system mapping issues that need to be resolved.

  • Participates and often lead in cross functional teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities.

  • Guide and support the technical aptitude of other team members through knowledge sharing and direct training.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 3+ years relevant experience.

  • Supporting a subledger accounting team, maintaining high standards for close accuracy and timing.

  • Working cross functionally with operational and technical teams

  • Building queries and reports using various tools such as SQL queries, Power BI, Incorta, Tableau, Alteryx.

  • Supporting talent development in a diverse work environment

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to assess business processes and implement improvements and make recommendations

  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan or other ERP) and business intelligence reporting tools such as tableau, power BI, Incorta, SQL queries.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to clearly share technical details to non-technical partners.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong desire to figure out issues and create processes to prevent or identify future issues.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting exceptional attention to detail and continuously driving process improvements.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
