$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
ABOUT OUR ICU
We are a general medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical monitoring
We offer 15 individual rooms for patients
We consistently hold 1:2 nurse to patient ratios
Our RNs work in close partnership with our intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants
We are a close-knit team that values camaraderie and collaboration WORK SCHEDULE
36 hours per week
3x12 shift schedule
This position can work straight nights or a mix of day shifts and night shifts. Additional details will be provided in the interview. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide bedside for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes
Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers
Follow evidence-based nursing practices
Monitor and administer medications and IVs
Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit
Active BLS
Active ACLS
