Job Description The Quantitative Researcher on the Quantitative Analytics and Data Science Team (QUADS) is an individual contributor role who works closely with researchers, advisors, and senior executives to produce research that solves complex business challenges on a global scale. This role works within Gartner's Human Resources (HR) Practice and focuses on producing research to advise C-level executives on their most critical HR issues. This position is for experienced researchers with strong quantitative research design skills. QUADS team members enjoy exposure to a full array of data work including designing research and benchmarking surveys, statistical modeling, data management, data visualization, and quantitative insight generation. In addition to data work, QUADS team members work on a variety of research projects including Gartner's signature research for executives, publications, live presentations, and webinars. These research projects will leverage your skills including hypothesis generation and testing, developing research narratives, and drafting presentations and reports. What You'll Do Design and manage quantitative research for HR executives at large enterprises that help solve their most critical challenges. Work together and communicate with a variety of teams including qualitative researchers, advisors, data managers, and senior leaders. Design and manage surveys that poll employees, HR practitioners, and HR leaders on key topics including (but not limited to) employee experience, Leadership development, recruiting, and total rewards. Identify and test research hypotheses with proprietary and external data. Develop and sharpen key insights based on primary research. Contribute and/or lead production of research content shared directly with clients, like live presentations, webinars, and publications on Gartner.com. Skills and Qualifications Required of the Role Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, preferably in an analytics-relevant field (e.g., Economics, Policy Analysis, Statistics, Data Science) OR PhD with 3+ years of experience, preferably in an analytics-relevant field (e.g., Economics, Policy Analysis, Statistics, Data Science). Experience in research design and research project management. Experience in analyzing quantitative data to identify key insights and leveraging those key insights in client-facing research deliverables (e.g., published reports, live presentations, webinars). Strong statistics foundations, especially hypothesis testing, regression, and classification techniques. Experience in designing research survey questionnaires. Experience in data visualization and telling a story through data. Experience analyzing and visualizing data with at least one of the following languages/programs: Python, R, SPSS. Experience with data management, including data cleaning, monitoring data collection to ensure quality, and interfacing with other data teams.
