Seattle Children's Nurse Technician-July 2024 Cohort in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities:

Hiring Nurse Techs for the July 22nd, 2024 Cohort for various units!

In this position, you will:

  • Deliver and assist in care that is consistent with Nursing Standards of Practice and Nursing Standards of Patient Care. This care may involve gathering information to assist the registered nurse in the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

  • Function under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and within the scope of practice that the supervising registered nurse has determined are appropriate based on the education and skills of the Nurse Technician and as defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

  • The Nurse Technician can be hired to provide three roles: (1) giving individualized care to children and their families under the direction and supervision of a licensed registered nurse; (2) assisting with general clinical responsibilities that may contribute directly and indirectly to patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse or other registered nurse; and (3) may function as a sitter under the supervision of the patient's assigned registered nurse.

Interviews will take place June 13th 2024.

Requirements:

Required Education/Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed at least one academic term (quarter or semester) of a nursing commission-approved program approved by the commission (ADN or BSN). Term must have included a clinical component.

Required Credentials:

  • Current WA State Nursing Technician Registration.

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS as certified by the American Heart Association.

Min to Max Hourly Salary: $20.60 - $20.60 /hr

Salary Information:

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
