Snap Inc. Manager, Software Engineering in Seattle, Washington
Drive the technical and project roadmap for Action Center - Snap's Advertiser Intelligence Engine. Partner closely with product management and sales operations to identify opportunities to help advertisers improve their ad campaign performance on Snap. Lead a team of Software Engineers distributed across multiple locations to develop scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions. Influence key decisions on business priority and system architecture. Iterate quickly without compromising quality and raise the bar on operational excellence. Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor. Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders. Create growth opportunities, give regular feedback, promote talent, manage performance issues. Required education/experience: Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered, Software Development/Engineering and/or Technical Program Management and/or closely related experience; OR Master of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered, Software Development/Engineering and/or Technical Program Management and/or closely related experience. Required Skills: Knowledge and/or experience in: Experience leading or managing teams of software engineers. Project management experience. Hands on software engineering experience. Knowledge of frontend and backend development. Experience with mobile apps or databases. Experience with distributed systems. Programming languages (at least three of the following): Java, Objective C, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript. Development tools: Proficiency in at least one of the following: Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, Google App Engine. Operating systems: Mac OS, Linux. *Knowledge/experience means knowledge/experience sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. OTHER: Job Site: Snap Inc., 2025 1^st^ Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121. *Hybrid work permitted -- Snap practices a "default together" approach and expects our team members to work in the Seattle, WA office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week. Base salary: $229,986 - $333,000 per year. This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus award. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
