Description Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Analyst for our IT Department, working remotely. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. The IT Quality Assurance Analyst collaborates with IT project management and software development teams to design and implement test plans, test strategies, and test scripts for IT product releases and updates. Responsibilities include documenting and reviewing test plans and results to identify and prevent product defects early in the deployment process. This involves testing new product releases as well as conducting regression testing on updates applied to existing systems. This position is also responsible for reviewing user requirements to ensure they are testable, and ensuring validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. The IT Quality Assurance Analyst must be proficient in IT principles and skilled in executing test cases to ensure the quality of IT products in a law firm setting. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work closely with software developers and project managers to create effective test plans, test strategies and test scripts to identify errors and verify that IT products meet quality requirements. Examine and evaluate IT product requirements and specifications to ensure they are testable, and ensure validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. Record product use case workflows for quality assurance test cases. Perform test cases and interpret the results. Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on the product's usability and functionality. Maintain logs of test phases and reported defects for development team reports. Perform post-release and post-implementation testing. Conduct regression testing on applications during product updates. Assist in troubleshooting issues and offering suitable solutions. Collaborate with developers to fix problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality throughout the software development lifecycle. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED: Required: At least four years of experience in IT quality assurance testing and end-user experience, preferably in a legal environment Knowledge of Agile frameworks and experience with regression testing Communicate effectively across all levels of the firm to identify needs and assess the impacts of application software upgrades Understanding of software development lifecycles Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Quickly learn new skills and technologies Demonstrate a strong work ethic, flexibility, dependability, and a positive can-do attitude Document detailed workflows and troubleshoot errors effectively Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies Possess strong organizational skills Maintain a high level of proficiency with the firm's core applications Preferred: Four-year degree preferred in relevant field Proficient in applications and technologies commonly used in the legal environment This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision.
