Nordstrom Finance Manager, Inventory Operations (Hybrid, Seattle) in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for supporting financial processes and cross-functional partnership within our Inventory Operations function. This role combines P&L insights through the month-end close/forecast and annual budget processes; and strategic partnership within the Inventory Operations organization to influence and support executive business decisions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, while balancing a strong attention to detail with business storytelling skills. The candidate will possess an aptitude for continuous improvement and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

A day in the life…

· Analyze and present business performance through reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure transparency and accountability

· Manage key processes and provide business insights and storylines related to the monthly reporting of close results, forecast and the annual budget

· Partner across Inventory Operations, Finance and other corporate functions to anticipate future business challenges and opportunities, and develop financial models for new strategies

· Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects, synthesize and clearly communicate findings to support executive-level decisions

· Proactively improve existing reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes

You own this if you have…

· 3+ years of related experience

· BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

· Experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance, with a strong sense of curiosity

· Experience in driver based financial model building

· Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines

· Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction

· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to both influence leaders and peers

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $92,000-$155,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
