AWS Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to support our AWS Migration Services portfolio, which offers various services and tools enabling the transition of new customers and workloads from their on-premise infrastructure into the AWS cloud faster, easier, and more securely. In this role, you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short- and long-term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities, drive strategic business initiatives, and guide the business on ways to grow both direct and indirect revenues and improve profitability. This role requires business partnership and collaboration across a wide spectrum of senior stakeholders, including General Managers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, Sales/GTM and Finance leaders, and provides financial oversight and controllership for multiple services including:

  • CloudEndure Disaster Recovery Service (DRS)

  • CloudEndure Application Migration Services (MGN)

  • AWS Resilience Hub (ARH)

  • Migration Acceleration Services (MAS)

  • Migration Hub (MH)

Key job responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted finance partner for the Migration Services organization supporting strategic business goals and initiatives.

  • Lead short- and long-term financial planning and forecasting for the business.

  • Present financial insights and deep analytics to the business and finance leadership.

  • Lead cost management, complex financial modeling, and building analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.

  • Create metrics and perform analysis to support strategic business decisions.

  • Drive scalability and automation projects.

  • Build rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
