Amazon Executive Assistant, Corporate Development in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Business and Corporate Development is seeking a motivated and bright Executive Assistant who is eager to join a fast-paced, high visibility team in Corporate Development.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to support three Directors leading New Initiatives and the Climate Pledge Fund in Corporate Development. This role requires a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside the company.

You will be highly detail-oriented and demonstrate clear and effective communication while maintaining flexibility, composure, and a good sense of humor. You will excel in juggling multiple critical requests while working independently in ambiguous situations that require sound judgement. A proven track record of effective time management, complex problem solving, bias for action, and delivering exceptional results is important.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide effective and proactive support to three Directors based in SEA

• Complex calendar management

• Domestic and international travel coordination and management

• Event coordination (including team meetings and morale events)

• Catering and supply orders

• Expense reimbursement

• Space management

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience with executive level calendar management

  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience assisting at the executive level

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills

  • Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts on the job

  • Ability to maintain composure and switch tasks efficiently in a rapidly changing environment

  • Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Ability to quickly learn organizational structure and the objectives of the team

  • Ability to build a strong internal network

  • Must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for customers and Amazon’s vision

  • Sense of humor and ability to work while having fun in an extremely ambiguous environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
