Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Events Team as an Area Events Coordinator supporting the Hyatt Regency Seattle & Hyatt at Olive 8!

The Area Events Coordinator is responsible for servicing events. This position works closely with Event Sales Managers in contract negotiations and servicing accounts. Primary service efforts are in Banquet Food, Beverage and Setup that include menu planning, agenda setting, and hotel meeting services, hospitality amenities and special VIP requests. Duties also include but are not limited to contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service. Also, assist in hosting site inspections as needed, participate and/or lead event meetings and other staff meetings.

The range for this position is $26.25-$27.80. The starting hourly rate for this position is $26.25. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the position for four years, which is $26.78. Depending on experience, a candidate for this position may also be eligible to be hired as a lead at a “lead rate” of $27.25. For lead colleagues who remain in the position for four years, they are offered a rate of $27.80.

Qualifications:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

  • Prefer a four year hospitality degree or equivalent experience

  • Prefer 18 months hotel experience
