We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to support the Prime Video US Science, Engineering, and Measurement Team. We are continuously raising the bar on the scientific rigor of marketing measurement and optimization through analytics, experiments, and models. In this role, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to understand business strategy, provide business analysis, and demonstrate technical aptitude to create insightful and effective reporting. You should have technical skills, project management skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in an energizing environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Define and deliver reporting that supports the analytical needs of internal business leaders.

• Use analytical insights to help increase teams effectiveness against key strategic goals.

• Instrument measurement of key KPIs for the organization.

• Serve as business lead for the internal reporting.

• Provide business requirements across all business reports.

• Ensure clear communication and coordination across the business, finance and technical teams.

A day in the life

You will work with Marketing Managers, Audience Insights Specialists, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Economists. You will maintain pipelines and dashboards central to the decision-making of the Marketing organization. You will perform deep dives and provide specific recommendations related to our customers' interactions with marketing and Prime Video content.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
