Job Details Job Location SeaTac, WA   Salary Range $120,000.00 - $120,000.00 Salary/year Description Summary: As a Security Technical Advisor (STA), you will be the cornerstone of technical guidance within our organization, driving success in both the Service and Sales Divisions. Your role encompasses a broad understanding of Security, Video, and Access Control (VS&A) technologies, allowing you to provide invaluable support throughout the sales cycle. Working closely with Sales, Service, and Engineering departments within a defined territory, you will contribute to the creation of customer-specific solutions by recommending viable technologies. Your ability to communicate highly technical data effectively to diverse audiences, ranging from non-technical workers to Information Technology Executives, will be critical during prospecting, presenting, proposing, and closing stages. In addition to your sales-focused responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation phase by providing practical data to internal resources, ensuring seamless execution. Your expertise may also be tapped for specialized projects within the Service division, where you may assist in training lower-level technicians on complex systems. The knowledge and insights you bring as an STA are essential for driving increased sales potential and profitability while maintaining a meticulous focus on the intricacies of each customer's system and unique environments. Furthermore, you will contribute to building the foundation for our VS&A business plan and play a key role in future expansion efforts into new regions, thus shaping the trajectory of our organization's growth and success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct field sales calls with individual sales reps to provide technical guidance. Oversee the technical requirements of the "solution" aligned with the opportunity throughout the sales process, from prospecting, presenting, proposing, and closing. Provide Sales management with technical guidance during the strategic sales planning for the local and regional market, including analyzing customer's networks for additional opportunities: Installation Goals, Engineering Goals, Maintenance Goals, and Loading Goals. Assist individual sales representatives with the practical technical solutions and facts for their sales opportunities. Communicate via phone, email, face-to-face and web meetings with customers assisting and guiding them through the proposal and implementation process as needed. Be responsive to customer demands and mitigate objections or product deficiencies. Provide onsite customer training and professional services. Regional travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts. Assist individual service representatives with the needed practical data of a solution for the accurate creation of the installation agreements, material list and resource assignment. Occasionally work as a Senior level technical resource when needed on special projects or high-level installs, repairs, or maintenance. Be available to the service department to assist in training lower-level technicians on complicated systems. Market development: create documentation that outlines the customer's broader system network topology. Provide technical input during the proposal process to increase solution accuracy. Provide the practical technical information needed for the PRR process. Design system solutions when they do not meet the threshold of DWS engineering involvement. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry workshops, reviewing professional publications, and maintaining certifications associated with the support of our customer base.
