Hendrix Industries, Inc Mold Production Specialist/Process Engineer in Sealy, Texas
Job Duties: Hendrix Industries, Inc. in Sealy, Texas seeks a Mold Production Specialist/Process Engineer to provide technical support, analysis or recommendation on design, application and maintenance of machinery, equipment or tools used in the production lines for manufacturing of a variety of engineered quartz slabs and products. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical issues of production lines that may impact yield, quality, and throughput. This includes, conducting root cause analysis of mechanical failures and recommending corrective actions; and designing and developing troubleshooting guides and decision-making matrices to ensure the standard application of methods in the resolution of process/manufacturing technical issues. Test and adjust material homogenization equipment, considering the material compression ratio of different formulations for various engineered quartz slabs. Establish, test and review distribution parameters (travel speed and feeding speed) for material spreaders to ensure the thickness and patterns of quartz slabs meet the required standards. Apply broad engineering knowledge to the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment and level of automation for existing manufacturing processes. Lead and coordinate the maintenance, safety procedures or service schedule to maintain production machinery and equipment in optimal working conditions. Provide technical training and guidance to lower-lever engineers and technicians. Participate in production process development plan by reviewing and evaluating functionality and productibility of existing production machinery and equipment against technology development. Responsible for analyzing and improving process flow, developing and testing process design changes to improve safety, efficiency and quality. Provide optimizing process parameters, troubleshooting and resolving process issues. Conduct process hazard analysis and implement mitigation strategies.
