Title: Forklift Loader - Metal Pipe Handling

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Loader specialized in metal pipe handling to join our team. The Forklift Loader will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading metal pipes using a forklift within our facility. If you have experience working with metal pipes and operating a forklift, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to load and unload metal pipes from trucks, trailers, and storage racks.
• Handle metal pipes of various sizes and weights with care to prevent damage.
• Stack and organize metal pipes in designated storage areas according to size, type, and other specifications.
• Assist in inventory management by accurately recording the movement of metal pipes and conducting periodic counts.
• Inspect metal pipes for defects, dents, or other damage before loading or unloading.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate the movement of metal pipes and prioritize tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to weight limits and load stacking guidelines to prevent damage to materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage areas and loading docks.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and safety in metal pipe handling operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, with specific experience in handling metal pipes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation and material handling.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
