Are you a skilled and experienced professional in internal controls management, ready to drive process improvements and enhance the effectiveness of our internal control environment? We are seeking a dedicated Internal Controls Manager to join our team and support the execution of business process and internal controls reviews for our business segment, region, or distributor.

As the Internal Controls Manager , you will be responsible for managing the internal controls team's execution of business process and internal controls reviews. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with company requirements. Additionally, you will assist in the development and management of the annual control plan and support initiatives to enhance accounting and internal control systems.

In this role, you will make a positive impact in the following ways:

  • Manage the execution of business process and internal control reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control environment.

  • Review identification of business risks and opportunities for improvement in safeguarding company assets and business operations.

  • Ensure internal control documentation is current and processes are designed in accordance with company requirements.

  • Establish connections with business leaders to collaborate on enhancing internal controls, offering support in refining internal processes, and facilitating policy implementation.

  • Provide internal control training to business teams to ensure understanding of internal controls and company policies.

  • Develop and mentor internal controls team members to build strong and effective capabilities.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Experience in a similar role, partnering with business leaders

  • CPA, CIA or CMA or similar accounting certificate is required

  • An understanding of HR processes and employment law 

  • An understanding of Enterprise Agreements and employee relations or a willingness to learn

  • Strong problem-solving and influencing skills with an ability to deal with conflict situations in a rational and constructive manner 

  • Able to identify, analyse, formulate, and implement appropriate courses of action, advising managers appropriately 

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a diverse stakeholder group
