We are looking for a motivated and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the operations of our grocery department, ensuring that customers receive the best products and service.
Job Overview: As the Grocery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the grocery department. You will ensure the department is well-stocked, organized, and fully operational while meeting company standards for quality, cleanliness, and customer service. You will manage a team, optimize inventory, and implement store policies to maintain a high standard of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily grocery operations, including stocking, product placement, and inventory control.
- Manage and train grocery department staff, ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder products, and ensure timely product delivery to meet customer demand.
- Ensure product displays are attractive, organized, and compliant with safety and health regulations.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards, addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure proper product rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out) to minimize spoilage.
- Collaborate with store management to improve store performance and implement marketing promotions.
- Assist in resolving any issues with vendors, deliveries, or product shortages.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grocery management or a similar retail management role.
- Strong knowledge of grocery store operations, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexible schedule availability, including occasional weekends and some holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred: associates degree or higher in business or related field).
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
