Aerotek Pipeline Controller in Savannah, Georgia

Console Controller

Job Description

As a Console Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the operations of our industrial plant from the centralized control room. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling the plant using HMI or DCS systems, interpreting blueprints or P&ID for effective product movement, and ensuring accurate documentation of all activities using CMS, work management systems, or Maximo. You will conduct thorough shift turnovers, occasionally work hands-on as a plant operator to deepen your understanding of plant operations, and carry out preventative analyses to anticipate and mitigate any potential issues. Your active participation in shift meetings will be crucial to align on daily tasks, which you will execute using established procedures. Moreover, you will be tasked with generating work orders, liaising with the gas control team, assisting in the unloading of boats, and directing field staff. Your ability to handle stressful situations will be tested, especially during peak plant activity or emergencies.

This is a fully on-site position in Savannah, Georgia.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a plant control room where Console Controllers will predominantly work. Additionally, there is a monthly rotation where controllers will work as plant operators to gain hands-on experience. The role demands the ability to remain composed and effective, particularly during high-pressure situations or emergencies.
