[Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist [Daechang Seat Savannah Corp. (DSC Savannah) is a leading automotive seat frame manufacturer opening a new facility near Savannah, GA (Bloomingdale, GA). [We are seeking a highly qualified EHS Specialist to join the team in Savannah, Georgia. The **EHS Specialist will be responsible for promptly addressing safety and environmental concerns, implementing proactive safety measures, and managing communication with management and employees.

  • Establish a safety management plan for the new manufacturing plant
  • Inspect production equipment and facilities according to the Company, OSHA, and relevant legal requirements; Make inspection checklist; Conduct inspections and report the results
  • Develop and facilitate safety training for new employees and ongoing training (i.e., monthly, quarterly, and annual training)
  • Establish and conduct health and safety procedures and processes based on ISO45001
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety programs and activities for the facility to achieve and maintain compliance with relevant regulatory laws and regulations
  • Reinforce safe work practices with employees and resolve safety issues in all areas
  • Participate in investigations of all incidents and provide information for Worker's Compensation requests
  • Establish and operate safety management processes, such as PTW (Permit To Work), Emergency Response Plan, High-risk work management, Operating safety committee, Safety inspection, etc.
  • Maintain OSHA safety logs

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the manufacturing industry

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards (OSHA 30 preferred)

Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs and initiatives
