Process Cycle Routes, Off Cycle, Back Billing, Final Billing, Adjustments, List & Post; Generate Reports on revenue, consumption, and reconciliation, Stuck Meters, Inter-Change Meters, Inactive with Consumption, Zero Consumption, Cancel Rebills; Account Corrections; monitor Sewer Only Billing/Delinquency, and others.
Ensure accurate and timely billing for all customers utilizing services authorized within Sarasota County Public Utilities resolutions through daily review and audit of accounts.
Audit and review data, classification, coding, routing, and rates within the CIS and report all variances.
Issue and complete work orders to receive needed information or to complete customer or staff requests, including adding applicable fees.
Investigate, and respond to complex customer/vendor issues, and concerns.
Ensure compliance with all utility billing regulatory/county principles, policies, resolutions/ordinances, and practices.
Display and maintain consistent intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Software such as, but not limited to, Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Teams, Smartsheet, and OneNote.
Identify trends and/or problems through statistical analysis and assure continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Develop and ensure compliance with principles, policies, and practices.
Implement new policies, procedures, and/or job requirements and display consistent flexibility and adaptability to change.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo) and other work-related applications.
Review the accuracy of training documents, processes, and SOPs and provide updates/corrections as needed.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
An associate's degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or Finance.
Two (2) years of related experience in auditing procedures, inventory control, basic real estate, bookkeeping, or financial duties.
-OR- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area may substitute for the required experience.
-OR- Year-for-year basis may substitute for the college degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Naviline or UMAX software experience in Billing or Finance.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Rate: $23.33 - $24.00, based on experience.
