Cargill TC Ops Senior Analyst in Saraburi, Thailand

Job Purpose and Impact

Responsible for performing a range of moderate to complex customs and trade operations activities using comprehensive customs knowledge. This role requires collaboration across internal and external business groups, independent and critical problem solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

Accountability Category #1: EXECUTE TRADE COMPLIANCE OPERATIONS ACTIVITIES:

Applies a substantial understanding of global trade compliance operations practices and procedures to ensure proper execution of trade compliance operations transactions especially in concerned Government Agency: FDA, TISI, DLD, DFT, Fishery, Agriculture Dept transaction permit coordination and execution. Independently reviews documents, ensuring they are per legal and fiscal requirements, using a deep knowledge of global trade compliance operations practices and procedures. Develops and maintains relationships with standard stakeholders (e.g. customs, ports, plants, regulatory authorities, etc.) Reviews standard analysis on risk exposure and process improvement, and collaborates with the others for next steps. Support new customer or vendor set up (including SAPIGTS) Validate and coordinate import/export transactional data requirements Ensures and validates that documents and other compliance obligations fulfill terms & conditions and / or other commercial agreements. Perform transactional duty/tax reconciliation Execute clearance and file import/export declarations.

Accountability Category #2: PROJECT AND PROCESS MANAGEMENT :

Act as key point of contact and co-lead for special projects including other functions and business partners. Plan agendas, lead meetings, influence and manage audience to reach expected goals for special projects. Manage communication and documentation efforts as they pertain to the projects.

Accountability Category#3: CLIENT INTERACTION AND BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP:

With some oversight, in strategic direction on compliance initiatives, coordination and carries out global trade compliance operations for the organization. Supports and coordinates the global trade Compliance operations effort in support of business, enterprise and functional business plans that span across the company globally. Collaborates cross-functionally, internally and externally to implement cross border solutions. Partners with Trade Compliance Operations Consultant for Enterprise Resource Planning deployments and enhancements. Collaborates in the process of coverage for Country Manager. #4: DATA MANAGEMENT/ ANALYSIS & REPORTING:

Ensure compliance for records & retention May provide oversight to analysts and support staff for record keeping process and ensures records are maintained per regulatory requirements & Advisory inputs • Analyze Monitor key and operational report local and compliance cross functional performance performance indicators indicators for location. Supports risk assessment through monitoring data sets and reports Provide support in duty / tax invoice disputes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of foreign exchange controls

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customs Broker License or equivalent strongly preferred

  • Experience managing SAP and global trade services

  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
