The Data Experience Team (DX) operates on Big Data systems. We collect, process, and aggregate Akamai network metrics for the purposes of analytics, reporting, and visualization
Make a difference in your own way
You'll be working on innovating and developing new and ground-breaking Big Data products. It provides services for the rest of the Platform and Akamai engineering groups. We strive to accelerate development, reduce operational costs and provide common secured common services.
As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will be responsible for:
Leading and mentoring an engineering team
Fostering team culture, facilitating personal and career growth for team members.
Providing technical expertise and leadership
Collaborating with stakeholders about progress, roadblocks, and timelines
Designing and developing operational systems and workflows
Working with internal customers as needed to troubleshoot and resolve business-affecting issues.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
Have experience in technical and/or team leadership
Possess experience Devops experience in large scale productions.
Demonstrate good knowledge of monitoring, CI/CD and Kubernetes.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Be a good team player, collaborating with people from across the business and fluent in English
