Store Location: 2788 San Tomas Expy, Santa Clara, CA 95051

Store Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm/Monday-Friday

What you’ll be doing:

Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the store. Plans and coordinates sales, merchandising, scheduling. Ensures excellent customer service is provided. Provides outstanding customer service and acts as an on-site ambassador for Staples Promotional Products.

  • Manage and motivates store associates to increase sales and ensure efficiency

  • Ensure standards for quality customer service

  • Manage stock levels, make key decisions about stock control, place replenishment orders

  • Monitor sales figures, forecast future sales, provide reporting and identify ways to increase sales

  • Provide training, coaching and development to sales associates

  • Respond to customer complaints/comments

  • Processing online order returns

  • Maintain a well-stocked and visually pleasing store, merchandise the store on a regular basis, setting up displays, coordinating off site events

  • Complete store scheduling and assigning tasks

  • Open and close the store, monitor cash flow, balances EOD POST systems to ensure case draw and transactions are accurate

What you bring to the table:

  • Understanding Inventory and sales reporting

  • Product purchasing and sourcing

  • Experience with people management

  • Knowledge of retail store operations and inventory management

  • Ability to strategically merchandise product mix within a retail environment

  • Knowledge and ability to manage budgets

What's needed - Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word & Excel and P.O.S. systems

  • A minimum of 2 years previous supervisory experience in a retail environment

What's needed - Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous promotional products industry experience
