Quality Systems Manager

Purpose: Strive to make BCA as profitable as possible.

Goal: Strive to help make BCA parts and products of a very high quality and BCA a very profitable company.

Responsibilities: Strive to Lead and Manage the Quality Department of Bear Creek Arsenal, this includes Quality or Inspection Supervisors, Quality Engineers, CMM Operators, and Inspectors. To help ensure only quality product is shipped from BCA. Perform the following tasks and functions.

  1. Work toward implementing and maintaining a robust Quality System.

  2. Coordinate with other departments such as Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing to help ensure quality parts are being produced while production goals are being accomplished.

  3. Ensure Proper quality procedures are in place and being followed.

  4. Ensure Quality Systems and Quality Audits are being performed as needed.

  5. Maintain Machine and Process Capability Studies

  6. Maintain Gauge RandR Studies

  7. Manage the quality personnel, Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, CMM operators, In Process Inspectors and any other personnel that are in the Quality Department.

  8. Quality/Inspection Plans are in place

  9. Work Instructions are in place

  10. Help plan the gauging and quality procedures for new parts/products.

  11. Ensure inspectors and operators are trained in the proper use of applicable gauges.

  12. Ensure only properly trained and approved inspectors and operators are performing the inspection routines.

  13. Help establish inspection criteria and quantities.

  14. Quality standards and goals are being achieved and quality procedures are being followed.

  15. Quality Personnel are starting and stopping at the correct time.

  16. Schedules are posted, and everyone understands what is expected of them.

  17. Parts are identified correctly, part number, description, quantity, status.

  18. Inspection Equipment and Gauges are kept in good working order.

  19. Document the inspection processes and results.

  20. Inspection Areas are kept clean.

  21. Help drive Corrective Actions

  22. Strive for continuing to improve our Quality Systems
