Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the HVAC/construction/contractor industry. This role is based in Sanford, Florida, United States. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payment disbursements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify invoices and check requests in a timely and accurate manner
• Sort, code, and match invoices to ensure proper payment processing
• Set up invoices for payment and process electronic transfers and payments
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date, and take action as necessary
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues promptly and efficiently
• Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to respond to inquiries
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare analysis of accounts
• Ensure proficiency in various software and systems including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient data entry and invoice processing
• Conduct check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction or contractor industry.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Demonstrated experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices.
• Strong Data Entry skills.
• Capable of efficiently processing invoices.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.
• Experience with Oracle and SAP for managing accounts payable.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks for managing financial records.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) is a plus.
