Job Details Job Location Sandusky International - Sandusky, OH   Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Machines metal parts by operating basic machining equipment with both indexable and brazed tooling. The job involves independently operating large engine lathes, vertical mills, or other equipment to prescribed specifications listed on the drawing or blueprint. Daily tasks could include set-up, rough turning, rough boring, or light finish work completed to high production standards, as well as other assorted tasks as needed and related to production. Requires self-motivation and detail orientation to assure accuracy to tight tolerances. Must have the ability to carry out assignments to completion by following standard work procedures and practices. Needs to be capable of maintaining records of various items including measurements, operational notes, or essential information to pass down. Must work effectively with internal and external customers while: Adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies Setting-up and operating machining equipment in the Machine Shop Completing assigned tasks in production areas to the highest production standards Assisting other personnel in production areas and departments Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent Very good physical condition Ability to ascend and descend large equipment Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work with limited supervision to production standards and requirements Availability for shift work and overtime required We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
