Description

Our client is seeking a User Acceptance Analyst to develop and execute test plans and functional use cases to ensure that products meet user needs and business requirements. Develops and maintains a testing strategy that includes design, execution, and documentation of test cases, defect tracking, and test coverage analysis. Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to enhance the overall effectiveness of user acceptance testing strategies.

Specific responsibilities include:

Managing medium to high complexity initiatives. Define and formally document a User Acceptance test approach to ensure test coverage and addresses user acceptance criteria and is consistent with UAT framework, including Objective, Testing scope, and domain.

Draw on in-depth experience with UAT testing to identify considerations, dependencies and issues for test planning and execution. Consult with business analysts, SMEs, Product Managers to gain understanding in order to devise an appropriate test strategy. Reviews, analyzes and assesses business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting business processes and drivers. Diagrams/documents supporting business or data processes.

Perform and/or direct functional/exploratory testing on delivered code in order to gain hands-on understanding. Refine the consolidated UAT test outline as required. Direct and/or execute UAT test plan, in coordination with business partners as deemed necessary.

Provide ongoing status reports to Scrum team and stakeholders including creating and publishing a final test summary report including exit criteria summary and lessons learned.

Research, verify, and troubleshoot data UAT issues by providing appropriate detail to document issues, including context regarding impact and priority for the development team. Review progress on issues reported to ensure timely reporting visibility. Review logged issues and obtain guidance on addressing to determine if UAT exit criteria are met.

Actively participate in scrum, design meetings, status meetings and other Agile ceremonies, interacting with participants at multiple levels in the organization. Organize and facilitate UAT planning and scope review with business stakeholders or Product managers as required. Organize UAT kick-offs and checkpoint/status meetings as required.

Develops and maintains testing processes while also thinking creatively to leverage ideas for process improvement. Provides expert direction or training to others on the UAT team.

Requirements

Tertiary education or equivalent relevant experience

5+ years of UAT testing experience

Agile experience strongly preferred; Web, defect management system, thorough knowledge of Excel; competence in Microsoft Office suite

Understanding of requirements analysis process

Familiarity with Salesforce platform

Familiarity with flow charts

Familiarity with JIRA or equivalent

Quality Test Management system experience.

Familiarity with relational database query tools preferred.

Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

Exhibits effective communication skills adapting messaging for appropriate levels

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to grasp new concepts

Ability to work in an environment that is ever changing; ability to adjust to change is critical

Ability to work on a computer or attend meetings 90% of the day, for extended periods of time

Ability to work in an environment that has tight deadlines and shifting priorities
