Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 Years experience in procurement, HUB activities or related area

  • Knowledge of; State purchasing laws; competitive bid rules.

  • Skill in; Purchasing rules and regulations policy, procedures and guidelines.

  • Ability to; Prepare written reports, correspondence, policies and guidelines; calculate figures using intermediate math, establish rapport with campus faculty and staff; recognize illegal or unethical business practices or situations and report it to the Director of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing; develop mathematical formulas to compile and analyze data; exercise discretion in handling confidential information.

Job Description

Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the HUB program in accordance with state requirements to encourage participation in the provision of goods and services to the University.

Job Duties

  • Creates monthly HUB departmental reports for the purpose of analyzing HUB utilization data, in order to maximize HUB participation for each department.

  • Prepare statutorily required HUB reports and manage outreach reporting

  • Plan marketing and outreach efforts for HUB participation and Represents the University by attending Equal Opportunity Forums and other State and System HUB events to improve vendor relations.

  • Train university staff and faculty on all HUB initiatives and requirements. Works closely with procurement decision makers to ensure campus wide participation.

  • Updates changes to the HUB Outreach webpage.

  • Assists HUB vendors with the State HUB Certification process, application to the Centralized Master Bidders List ( CMBL ) and inform HUB vendors about the university procurement process.

  • Facilitate meetings between Prime Contractors and prospective HUB subcontractors to discuss possible business partnerships.

  • Promotes positive HUB vendor relationships and manage HUB relationships through frequent contacts both on and off campus.

  • Audit the HUB Progress Assessment Reports to insure accuracy and compliance with HUB Subcontracting Plans.

  • Develop techniques for evaluating HUB program activities and recommends revisions for the program.

  • Review of HUB Subcontracting Plans to verify compliance

  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
