Aerotek Facilities Supervisor in San Jose, California

Facilities Supervisor

Pay Rate: $40/hr - $55/hr.

Description:

• Maintain a working knowledge of building systems and Facilities operations.

• Acts as the primary contact for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)

• Create, review and prioritize work orders on demand from phone, email or verbal request, and process, assign and update daily work orders and ensure proper communication to work order requester.

• Keep Facility Manager informed of day-to-day routines.

• Perform maintenance of interior and exterior buildings including painting, construction, renovation, repairs, equipment and furniture installation

• Actively monitor facility and equipment conditions, make recommendations for maintenance or improvement.

• Maintain all building equipment, supplies, tools, and keep an inventory and order supplies.

• Manages and maintains primary utilities’ systems, HVAC, Boiler, Hot water, Elevators Checks and controls water, gas and electric systems

• Manage and negotiate bids and quotes from vendors.

• Coordinate jobs with vendor and Monitors contractor performance and works closely to ensure work is completed according to specifications/service contract.

• Work with project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction/renovation projects

• Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24/7 basis

• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facilities maintenance tasks as technicians on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or any building related.

• Perform and maintain preventative maintenance programs.

• Provide training to new employees and refresher training on an as-needed basis.

• Follows OSHA regulations for all projects, equipment operation, and chemical usage including labeling, storage, disposal, and the use of personal protective equipment.

• Conduct site inspections daily, monthly, and quarterly and complete checklists on a regular basis. Provide written documentation to the Facilities Manager.

• Oversee overall building cleanliness and job performance of technicians I & II & III & IV

• Manage and complete special maintenance project assigned by Facilities Manager before deadline.

• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must haves:

-5-6 years of experience Property Maintenance Experience working around customers ( good example of this is Hotel's or apartment complex)

  • Experience turning rooms around (This means turning rooms around and painting the rooms)

  • Knowledge of SOPs regarding Building Maintenance procedures.
