Meta Program Manager, Privacy & Risk in San Francisco, California

Summary:

Meta is seeking a high caliber, analytical, process & detail oriented individual to drive risk mitigation, program management, and enablement across our Sales & Partnerships organizations. The role will be a part of the Sales Strategic Planning & Operations team, that oversees group strategy and operational execution. The primary objectives of this role are to (a) assess risk and compliance obligations of the business, (b) work horizontally to drive compliance initiatives with relevant teams, (c) provide enablement to minimize disruption of business operations. This person will be close to Meta’s global privacy and risk strategy and will be tasked with proactively identifying future needs to align with industry compliance expectations and best practices. The role partners deeply with stakeholders across Sales & Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance.The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems through technical and analytical excellence, synthesizing disparate pieces of information into concrete recommendations, and project managing multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a highly ambiguous environment, has a strong desire for constant innovation, and is passionate about privacy and risk initiatives that strengthen business operations.

Required Skills:

Program Manager, Privacy & Risk Responsibilities:

  1. Lead privacy and risk compliance, mitigation, and enablement of sales and partnerships teams

  2. Lead the evolution of business workflows, operations, technical builds, strategies to align with risk obligations and best practices

  3. Partner closely with internal legal and compliance teams to understand risk pressures and resulting impact on the business

  4. Develop trusted partnership with business stakeholders to drive enablement, advocacy, and education of risk pressures

  5. Proactively evaluate the impact of risk controls and advocate for control improvement to minimize business disruption

  6. Develop recommendations of ideal-state solutions and present proposals to key stakeholders and leaders for buy-in

  7. Measure performance and reliability of newly implemented controls and workflows

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS degree

  2. 8+ years of experience in roles such as Risk Management, Product Management, Technical Product Management, Business Operations, Consulting

  3. Demonstrated experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance teams to design and implement product features, tooling, processes, programs, third party solutions

  4. Track record of applying critical problem solving skills and proposed solutions that reduce risk and enhance operational performance of organizations

  5. Experience using data to drive decisioning, strategic alignment, measuring performance and effectiveness

  6. Experience presenting complex organizational and process flow content to general audiences, gaining support and alignment among stakeholders

  7. Experience working independently and managing multiple concurrent projects in a highly cross-functional and fast-paced environment

  8. Experience prioritizing for impact across many competing priorities

  9. Experience navigating ambiguity and bringing order to chaos

  1. MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field

  2. Experience leading regulatory compliance initiatives in the digital or online space

  3. Strong understanding of the privacy compliance landscape, obligations, best practices

  4. Experience driving strategy and support for ad sales, partnerships, engineering teams

  5. Experience as a contributing member of a global organization within a matrix structure

Public Compensation:

$116,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
