Description
Robert Half is working with an outstanding firm looking for a a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join their construction law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented attorney to work on complex construction projects and government contracts, representing a diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities:
Draft, negotiate, and administer construction contracts for owners, contractors, designers, and professionals.
Represent clients in litigation or arbitration matters related to construction projects.
Manage procurement-related issues, including contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, and claim documentation.
Handle matters involving equitable adjustments, impact and delay claims, change order and extra work disputes, requests for equitable adjustments, construction and design defects, and bid protests.
Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal analyses to support client strategies.
Maintain excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and admitted to the California Bar.
2-5 years of experience in construction law, with a focus on general commercial construction, complex projects, and government contracts.
Proven experience representing owners, contractors, designers, and professionals in all aspects of construction law, including drafting, negotiation, contract administration, and litigation/arbitration.
In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract administration, risk management, and dispute resolution in the construction industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Team player with a strong work ethic.
