Job Summary
Are you passionate about culinary excellence and ready to elevate corporate dining to new heights? We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations for a prestigious corporate dining account, Monday to Friday. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining a safe and sanitary workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in ensuring compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, safety, production, and merchandising requirements.
Motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house employees to achieve operational objectives and exceed customer expectations.
Ensure high-quality food items are prepared and presented creatively and cost-effectively.
Assist in planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation.
Support cost control measures and manage expenditures for the account.
Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Plan and execute elegant corporate events, from small executive lunches to large company-wide celebrations.
Develop customized menus that cater to diverse dietary preferences and requirements.
Coordinate with clients to ensure their vision is brought to life through exceptional food and presentation.
Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
3-5 years of relevant culinary experience.
Proficiency in a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations.
Ability to think on your feet and create, produce, and serve on the fly.
Knowledge of food cost management and quality identification.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills.
Applied food service sanitation certification, SERVSAFE, and/or HACCP federal guideline certification.
Understanding of current culinary trends and creative food presentation is preferred.
