Description
Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a fast-growing tech company that values innovation and collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for employees, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Maintain and update payroll systems with changes related to employee compensation, taxes, and benefits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Perform regular payroll reconciliations while maintaining detailed records for auditing purposes.
Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and HR teams as necessary.
Accurately calculate and oversee deductions, benefits administration, and court-mandated garnishments.
Requirements
2+ years in payroll processing or a related role required.
Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paycom, Workday, etc.) and strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations, including FLSA, wage/tax laws, and multi-state payroll requirements.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in both data entry and reporting.
Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and suggest process improvements.
Strong sense of confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus but not required.
