Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinist for a project located in San Diego, CA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Install, Maintain & Repair Ships Propulsion & Auxiliary Systems; Steam, Turbine, Electrical & Propulsion Systems, Rudders & Steering Gear Elevators & Navy Systems
Install, Repair & Maintain Ships Fluid Systems including; Pumps, Compressors, Purifiers, Heat Exchangers, Actuators & Valves
Test Equipment Ensure Systems Meets Specification
Install & Test Various Shop Equipment
Assembly & Installation of Complex Mechanical Systems
Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements
3+ Years Relevant Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Must Pass Drug Screen & Background Check
Must have OSHA 10 Maritime & Fire-watch Certification
Must have Respirator Fit Completed Prior to Completion
Must be Available for All Shifts
Ability to Read Blue Prints, Interpret Mechanical Drawings, Written Instructions & Technical Manuals
Ability to Read & Comprehend Hydraulic & Pneumatic Diagrams
Proficient in Use of Precision Measurement Tools
Must ave Shop Mathematical Skills with an Understanding of Geometry, Trigonometry, Work with Decimals & Fractions
Ability to Use Hand & Power Tools & Machining Tools
