Job Title: Electromechanical Assembly Technician
Job Description
Join our team as an Electromechanical Assembly Technician where you will be responsible for both assembling and testing mechanical components and systems. Your role will combine tasks of a mechanical assembler, wire and cable assembler, harnesser, quality inspector, and tester. You will follow detailed work instructions provided in our manufacturing execution system to assemble subassemblies, connect wires and harnesses, and perform quality checks. Post-assembly, you will transition to testing phases involving firmware installations and functional software testing of the PCBA units, ensuring all components function as expected. Documentation of every manufacturing step in the MES for accurate electronic device history records is essential.
Hard Skills
Proficiency in using screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, torque wrenches, needle nose pliers, and small power tools
Ability to enter data accurately in the shop order system (42Q)
Skilled in computer usage, particularly with software like Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and various testing and manufacturing software
Soft Skills
Ability to follow detailed work instructions
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt and learn new tasks or processes quickly
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.
Work Environment
You will work in an ESD environment requiring lab coats and shoe covers. Your day starts with a 7 AM stand-up meeting where work is assigned. Initially, you will be paired with a experienced technician for training and after three months, transition to another area. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. One hire will begin training on the first shift and move to the second shift starting around June.
