Summary Responsible for overseeing inbound technical support and training for Lancers full line of beverage and ice equipment as requested or required by Management, Sales, Engineering, and or customers. Works to reduce and or approve or deny warranty related claims with strict regard to JSOX policies and procedures.
Essential Functions Identify and Report Warranty Related trends
Through cross functional support- find root cause and identify fixes for top warranty related costs
Process and document inbound tech support calls
Provide technical support and guidance to Area Sales Manager, National Accounts, Technical staff, and customers requests
Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional departments
Manage and assist with field tests and evaluation of new and innovative products
Provide engineering with details and evaluation of equipment failures
Assist with determination of warranty claims
Knowledge of Lancer Quality Systems
Process warranty related calls internally and externally
Responsible for creating teams KPIs used for the companys overall efficiency
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
Proficient in Word- Excel-Outlook
Thorough knowledge and understanding of beverage systems and components.
Proficient in electrical and refrigeration operation and concepts to troubleshoot equipment.
Ability to identify causes and solutions to equipment failures and or service issues
Excellent communication skills for effectively communicating technical and functional matters for the purpose of providing instruction in a classroom environment, as well as solving equipment operational and performance issues.
Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle irate customers.
Good communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement
Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

Education and Experience High School diploma required; 2 years of technical school or equivalent
2 years of technical support experience or equivalent.
2 years of technical management experience or equivalent.
Work Environment
This job operates in a combination of lab and professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of th se that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Use of pallet jack, floor lift, forklift (once certified for) hand trucks to move, relocate and inspect equipment is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
