A Day In The Life

• Receive product to purchase orders

• Process receipts within 48 hours

• Maintain files and records of receipts in an organized manner

• Communicate with other departments, truck lines and vendors regarding receipts

• Process returned materials from customers (RMA’s)

• Sort and re-stack product as necessary

• Schedule the deliveries of inbound material with various carriers

• Communicate with other departments, carriers regarding shipments

• Investigate missing materials in SAP and warehouse location.

• File Claims with carriers

• Audit receiving dock monthly.

• Make sure Unloading / Loading procedures are being followed in Receiving

• Make sure Shipping processes are being followed

• Use of Microsoft Office and Outlook

• Follow all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center to ensure clean and safe working environment to ensure safety and security of all employees.

• Coordinate cross dock shipments and information flow

• Deliver inbound Federal Express, Rapid Parcel Systems, etc. material to all Divisions

• Operate forklift or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently and assist in the loading of merchandise moving into and out of the warehouse as needed.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse. Conduct operations in a safe manner

• Assist with daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse and other material handling equipment

• Ensure paperwork is completed appropriately and handled accurately

• Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to efficiently support the warehouse operation

What will help you thrive in this role?

• 3 years’ experience in a high-volume warehouse environment required.

• Ability to perform work for a minimum of eight hours.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.

• Willingness to embrace the Hubbell Values and Behaviors.

• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

• Knowledge of appropriate handling, safety, and warehouse standards.

• Ability to handle regular job problems within a defined area of responsibility using basic problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral or written communications

• Excellent math and analytical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication

• Understanding of basic inventory control procedures

• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision

Education

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
