Job Description:

Fluor is seeking candidates for the I-35 Northeast Expansion (NEX) South project in San Antonio, TX.

Fluor’s scope includes the design and construction of approximately four miles of elevated lanes, three in each direction, and associated interchanges at either end of the project.

The I-35 NEX South Project will add additional capacity to one of the most congested corridors in the state, which handles more than 140,000 vehicles per day.

Technical and operational support for the Maintenance of Traffic Group (MOT) and the Construction Maintenance Group. Position includes both field and office environments. Works closely with MOT Implementation Manager, Maintenance Manager, Superintendents, Craft Foreman, other discipline construction engineers to ensure LSC polices, procedures, and standards are adhered to. Reports to MOT Manager.

• Works within MOT Group to support temporary traffic control operations including, but not limited to, Lane Closure Notifications, Detour Planning, Striping and Striping removal planning, temporary signage installation, temporary barrier installation and removal, and equipment and resource planning.

• Works with Maintenance Group to support facilities maintenance within the project limits and coordinates the installation of environmental protection measures (SWPPP)

• Ensures project progresses safely, on schedule, within all quality standards, and within prescribed budget

• Tracks installed quantities and reports results to Project Controls in a timely manner

• Assists planning of traffic operations, specifically temporary traffic control and channelizing devices

• Coordinates general freeway maintenance operations, and repairs to damaged devices as they occur.

• Performs material takeoffs

• Develop Installation Work Plans

• Solicits input and prepares daily and 3 week activity schedules.

• Prepares RFls to clarify issues. Reviews RFI’s with superiors prior to submission.

• Prepares Daily Report for construction activities, performance, problems, manpower, equipment, etc.

• Participates in safety, schedule, cost, and planning meetings with Construction Operations, MOT, and Maintenance teams

• Executes work in accordance with the projects Traffic Control Plan (TCP) and Maintenance Management Plan (MMP)

• Input maintenance updates into project software on a daily basis

• Coordinates survey needs for MOT work with Survey team.

• Other duties as assigned
