Engineer-In-Training:
This position is responsible for providing civil design, drafting, permitting and field work support to engineers for residential, commercial and industrial land development projects.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Civil Engineering
EIT Certified
Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience with recent versions of AutoCAD
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in the San Antonio/Austin regions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Construction Plan production experience
Platting and permitting
Strong technical, and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy
Able to perform field work
Must hold a valid drivers license
Responsibilities:
Use knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including site layouts, surfaces, pipe networks, corridors, assemblies, etc.
Perform preliminary engineering design
Complete simple calculations as indicated by supervisors
Project design - drainage, grading, utilities, sidewalks, road, ponds, etc.
Work collaboratively with Project Engineers to assist in planning, design, CAD drafting, revision, and preparation of construction plans and exhibits, exhibits, and written tehnical reports
Dependable, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Able to work under and meet tight deadlines and complete deliverables on time
Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Position will work both in an office setting and will require field work at different job sites
