Job Title: Distribution Engineer
Job Description
Join our team as a Distribution Engineer to provide detailed engineering, design, and planning assessments. You will evaluate system operations and develop project scopes for overhead and underground utility systems. Your role includes evaluating electrical power systems, designing replacements per utility standards, and developing accurate estimates and engineering drawings using various software tools. You will meet with team members to review project status, determine communication strategies, coordinate right-of-way acquisitions, and ensure project schedules are adhered to. Regular site visits to assess utility conditions and gather necessary project information are required. This role demands a minimum of 40 hours per week with potential overtime.
Hard Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
0-1.5 years' experience in a related field
Experience with Distribution Engineering software tools like ARMS, JETS, DETS, CYME, DISTGIS/ArcMap
Knowledge of BlueBeam, AutoCAD, GIS software
Understanding of OH and UG fiber optic and telecommunication distribution
Soft Skills
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with team members
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
