Robert Half Accounting Clerk in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves working primarily in accounts payable invoice management, including employee expense reporting and other administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be joining our team in the engineering industry, where they will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records and processing transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing accounts payable invoice preparation and payment

• Receiving invoices, requesting payment approvals as needed, and inputting them into the company's ERP system

• Reviewing and managing the vendor ledger to ensure timely vendor payments

• Managing the AP email to ensure invoices are processed promptly

• Preparing and executing weekly payments via check and ACH

• Handling employee expense review and preparation, including receipt organization and expense report input

• Preparing and distributing employee reimbursements via check or petty cash

• Assisting in the collection, input, and review of weekly timesheets as required

• Conducting monthly bank reconciliations

• Assisting in monthly billing preparation, including preparing and distributing billing reports to project managers and saving final billing for distribution to clients

Skills:

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP

• Familiar with Expense Reporting, Deltek Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing and Data Entry is required

• Demonstrable skills in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and SAP software

• Experience in Expense Reporting is expected

• Knowledge of Deltek software is a plus

• Must have an understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
