MEALS FOR THE ELDERLY Full Service Cook in SAN ANGELO, Texas
**POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Food Service Aide is responsible for assisting in the daily preparation of meals as well as helping to maintain all appropriate sanitary conditions within the kitchen area.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Helps in preparing quality food according to a planned menu. 2) Inventory storage and help maintain food items and supplies. 3) Assist in caring for and using equipment in a safe and efficient manner. 4) Serve food according to meal schedules and policies. 5) Follow established procedures to ensure standards of cleanliness, health, and safety. 6) Assists in recording food production records (temperatures and inventory). 7) Maintain personal appearance and hygiene. 8) Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members. 9) Perform regular clean up duties to maintain proper sanitation within the kitchen and storage areas. 10) Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Early morning availability beginning at 5:30 a.m., Monday-Friday. 2) Must be able to stand for long periods of time. 3) Ability to regularly lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. 4) Strong communication skills and ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. 5) Prior experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
