Job Description:

L3Harris Broadband Communication Sector is currently seeking a Product Manager to support innovative RF Communications products in our portfolio. The successful candidate will develop a product strategy across the organization while working closely with program management, business development, engineering, operations, and finance. The candidate will also identify business cases and align markets that complement our business and continue to grow this product’s market space and product maturity. The candidate will be responsible for identifying product positioning, setting commercialized pricing, fulfilling forecasts, and executing product promotion along with maintaining the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to identify and reconcile needs in products, processes, and systems.

The Product Manager is primarily responsible for all aspects of their assigned products, which include but are not limited to: product lifecycle management, sales, strategy, development, production, and financial performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and direct work of cross-functional teams including production, finance, engineering, and other disciplines

  • Interface with customers to understand the concept of operations, use cases, and customer requirements and/or “desirements” turning those in to product requirements and formation of a roadmap

  • Provide leadership of the core product team to establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, validation, manufacture, integration and test activities

  • Manage communications internally to teams; responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to others

  • Communicates within and outside of the business area and has the responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization, including customers, vendors, etc.

  • Monitor and assess customer satisfaction, quality, and profitability

  • Represent the voice of the customer within the plant

  • Create roadmaps, market landscapes, and competitive landscape analyses

  • Determine value-based product pricing based on market analysis and the competitive environment while balancing the production costs

  • Manage and track progress for multiple projects simultaneously

  • Interact with and provide product status to all levels within the organization

  • Resolve internal performance issues arising from engineering design or operations production

  • Potentially manage Internal Research And Development projects (IRAD) to develop new features to enhance current products and/or to create new products (new product introduction and launch)Problem-solve and drive resolutions to a close

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a Security Clearance

  • US Government position; US Citizenship required

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Senior professional with strong and broad knowledge, including 4+ years of proven experience, in product or program management, with some of that experience in delivering integrated products

  • Management of multi-disciplined teams over diverse geographical locations and experience across multiple customers and programs, simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to develop program plans, set up project schedules, and provide engineering guidance and recommendations

  • Ability to provide regular status on programs and production activities, including presentations to senior management

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, problem-solving, performing analysis and making trade decisions, and achieving program and business goals

  • Experience establishing relationships with customers and driving projects consisting of internal and external work components

  • Experience with development of small, complex electronics products

  • Experience with strategy development

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical (STEM) Discipline or Business

  • Experience with Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project) and Information Sharing tools (e.g., Confluence wiki)

  • Experience with Government systems and service acquisition programs, Domestic and International

  • Experience in integration of systems into various military platforms

  • Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors
