ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, Utah is hiring for full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II NYQ - 3 openings. Duties: The Medical Laboratory Scientist II NYQ in the Mass Spectrometer Operations laboratory will provide services of a technical and non-technical nature for the identification, quantification and monitoring of endogenous and exogenous compounds; will operate/maintain instrument platforms such as Sciex, Agilent and Thermo LC-MS/MS Systems; TECAN and Perkin Elmer liquid handling robotic systems; perform routine and complex lab tests to provide physicians with rapid and accurate results; perform waived, moderate, and highly complex analytical processes; establish, perform, and document quality assurance, quality control, and equipment maintenance; confirm and verify results through in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments; correlate and interpret data based on knowledge of factors affecting test results; data handling and input; assists the laboratory in assay, reagents, and laboratory software validations; standard operating procedure updates; training and support of employees in the laboratory. Requires Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or in the chemical or biological sciences; and ASCP or AAB certification as MLS or MT.
