CATERING CHEF (On-Call)
The Leonardo seeks an On-call Catering Prep Cook to join our team and mission to fuse science, technology, and art in experiences that inspire creativity and innovation in people of all ages and backgrounds.
OVERVIEW
The ideal On-Call Catering Prep Cook will have a background in food service, strong attention to detail, a passion for serving our community, and be a flexible problem-solver.
Pay Rate : $15 per hour + Gratuity
Schedule : On-call, Part-time; Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on events schedule
Reports to : Catering Chef / Food & Beverage Supervisor

WHAT YOU’LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
Prepare and cook food (following prep lists as applicable) to produce visually appealing and flavorful dishes
Design and execute creative menu options
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and dish area including washing dishes, cleaning back of house, and removing trash
Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Additional responsibilities as needed
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:
Education : Culinary schooling preferred, but not required; Must be willing to get Sips & Tips and Food Handler's Permit
Experience : Prior catering or restaurant experience preferred; Prior dishwashing experience required
Competencies : Flexible problem-solving ability, able to resolve challenges that may come up during service; Strong attention to detail; Passion for The Leonardo's mission, vision, values, and serving our community.
Physical/Other Requirements : Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally over 25 pounds; Must be age 21+, as may work shifts where alcohol is consumed by guests
