Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Financial Service Support Team. Financial Services Technology Support works as liaisons among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Financial Services Technology Support understands business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. The successful candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, focusing on data analysis and system improvements. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, practical communication skills, and a technical background in business systems analysis.
Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, documenting requirements and defining scope and objectives.
Assess existing processes and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with stakeholders to review products and propose solutions that align with overall business strategies.
Analyze core business functions, define workflows, gather requirements, and evaluate available solutions to address technology needs.
Work with cross-functional teams, service partners, and other IT professionals to develop integrated solutions and translate conceptual visions into detailed design packages.
Works with Technology Strategy Manager to identify pros and cons, risks, and benefits of solution alternatives and make recommendations for implementation.
Assists leadership in project implementation, helping manage planning, monitoring testing, and coordinating upgrades.
Engage with clients to understand their unique business needs and manage ongoing relationships to ensure satisfaction with IT services.
Proactively resolve customer satisfaction issues and serve as a resource to customers, testers, developers, and other stakeholders.
Assists leadership in creating and presenting reports to business owners to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations
Utilize various tools to analyze data and extract insights to support decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Preferences
Masters in Data Analytics, Masters in Information Systems.
Knowledge of and experience working enterprise software implementations and upgrades (e.g. Oracle PeopleSoft Financials)
Peoplesoft Query Experience.
Technical background with proficiency in PeopleSoft Query and SQL preferred.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI,
Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR , HIPAA ).
Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS , Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing concepts.
Advanced analytical skills, including predictive modeling and machine learning techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
