Job Title: Afghan Community Resource Specialist Reports To: Social Services Coordinator
Principle Function
The Afghan Community Resource Specialist will lead the coordination of community resources for Afghan clients being served within our Social Services team. The focus will be to assess for, identify and develop access to resources for the specifics needs of the Afghan Community.
This role is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Social Services Coordinator and is a 100% on-site role unless there are meetings, training, or other approved exceptional circumstances.
Major Responsibilities
ยท Coordination of Afghan community resources
Collaborate with other agency staff to develop beneficial community connections, partnerships, and resources in response to assessed client needs.
Create resource guides and pathways to maximize resettlement agency's ability to efficiently and effectively support client needs.
Establish pathways for communication and referrals between resettlement agency staff, clients, and community partners.
Engage with a minimum of 30 community resources per quarter.
i. Develop best practices for documenting community engagement.
Supportive services are not intended to replace case management services.
Supportive services are supplemental services for eligible case managed and
non-case managed clients.
Maintain a record of all clients services provided.
Clients served must meet all previously established eligibility requirements.
