Job Description: Retail Shop Assistant Job Title: Retail Assistant Location: WytchWood Store, Salem, MA Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM About Us: WytchWood is a unique boutique that celebrates the mystical, magical, and fantastical. We specialize in handcrafted goods, infused maple syrups, bath and body care, cosmetics, and witchcraft-inspired lifestyle products. Our Salem storefront embodies the dark whimsy of a forest Witch, blending folklore, mythology, and nature to create a truly enchanting experience for our customers. We\'re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team, helping to create an unforgettable shopping experience for all who visit our store. Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers with a warm, welcoming attitude, providing knowledgeable answers to questions about our products and their uses. Sales: Actively engage with customers to help them discover and purchase WytchWood products, achieving personal and store sales targets. Cash Register Operation: Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash and card payments. Stock Management: Stack shelves, label products, and ensure displays are visually appealing and well-stocked. General Duties: Perform general retail tasks, including inventory checks and restocking. Upkeep & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy store environment, including light cleaning duties to ensure the space is inviting for customers. Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our products, their ingredients, and their origins to better assist customers. What We\'re Looking For: Previous retail experience is preferred but not required - enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key! Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset. An interest in Witchcraft, Fantasy, Mythology, or Folklore is a significant advantage. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, ensuring products are displayed and labeled correctly. Reliable, punctual, and organized.
