Allegany Hospitality Company operates in the scenic Allegany State Park , known for its beautiful views, wildlife, and wonderful activities. There are two areas for you to explore, Red House and Quaker. Both areas can be enjoyed with picnic areas, museums, hiking trails, biking, and more.

This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2025 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2025.

Café / Boat Attendant

Summary: The Café / Boat Attendant requires the flexibility to work with customers serving grab-n-go food items, and the rental of watercraft.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with grab-n-go food purchases
  • Clean and maintain all assigned areas throughout shift, keeping all "First Guest Fresh"
  • Assist guests in the rental of boats; safely help load and unload guests from boats
  • Responsible for setting up signs and maps at the beginning of each day
  • Ensure that boats are clean
  • Ensure that boats are properly stowed and cleaned in the boathouse at the end of day
  • Work individually and with the team to surpass expectations in an efficient, motivated, and positive can-do manner.
  • Document damage to boats using appropriate logs and report to Maintenance in a timely fashion
  • Assist in dining and common areas; sweep, setup/breakdown chairs, open/close shutters, wipe down and sanitize all surfaces, empty trash, clean bathrooms, and consolidate trash into black containers
  • Prepare and serve concession type foods (pizza, burgers, hot dogs, French fries, etc).
  • Help to ensure that windows and doors are all locked at close of business day
  • Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to all guests
  • Follow all health and safety standards, policies, and initiatives
  • All other duties as may be assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of food storage and sanitation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in proximity of other people
  • Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting will be required.
  • Always maintain a positive and upbeat attitude to ensure an excellent guest experience.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Education & Experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: One (1) year of Customer Service experience

Hourly rate $15.50
